The Business

Started in 2013, Wishbeer is now the largest e-commerce website in Thailand with over 10,000 products home delivered nationwide. We have a strong focus on craft beer, but are also expanding to wine, whisky & spirits. The non-alcohol vertical has also a lot of potential for growth.

Looking for revenue growth and additional synergies, we've setup in 2015 our first craft beer bar. Wishbeer Home Bar was born, featuring over 40 craft beers on tap in a unique relaxing atmosphere. After the success of this first location, we raised USD $600,000 through crowdfunding in Thailand and expanded to 4 locations in less than 2 years. We have also launched our first franchise in December 2018.

The Market

The craft beer market in Thailand is growing fast, with a lot of opportunities to grow further. Middle class consumers are looking forward to drink better products, and want to focus on quality rather than quantity - following a worldwide consumption trend.

As the alcohol market is very fragmented as a whole, we manage to operate as a one stop shop for both retail customers as well as wholesale customers. Indeed, we bring convenience to the ordering process through our e-commerce platform, as well logistics ease with nationwide deliveries.

On the F&B side of the business, we managed to build a strong brand in Thailand that drives traffic and increase the odds of franchise operators willing to start a craft beer business.

Progress/Proof

With our unique business model (both online & offline), we have built a hard to replicate business knowledge and operating skills.

First a Tech company, we focus on innovation which has been validated by 2 awards in 2014 and 2018 as Thailand Most Promising Startup by E27/Echelon Top 100 startup pitching competition. We've also been featured as TOP 10 E-Commerce Beer Company Worldwide by CBInsights in Feb 2019.

We also have managed to raise seed funding from VC 500 Startups & 500 Tuktuks, as well as angel investors through our USD $600,000 crowdfunding campaign in 2017-2018.

Objectives/Future

We are looking now at reinforcing our growth in Thailand, and expanding our online & offline businesses to the region, and especially to Vietnam, being the #1 country in South East Asia for beer consumption per capita. We see a fantastic opportunity to launch e-commerce there, as well as craft beer bars similar to what we do in Thailand.

There's also the possibility to brew our own beer in Vietnam which will add an additional revenue stream, and increase our margins at our existing venue and through our e-commerce, which will give us lots of leverage as we grow.

We see huge opportunities throughout the Asian region as craft beer market is growing and very few distributors have the ability to grow both online & offline like we do.

We're looking at a 20M THB raise with a 180M THB pre-money. These funds will used to invest in technology in Thailand as well as F&B expansion through franchising. We're also using the funds for our Vietnam expansion, setting up an e-commerce platform there, as well a 1st craft beer bar. We'll start as well producing our own beer in contract brewing with existing breweries.
