A malty red ale with a fruity-fresh note of hops. (Alc .: 4.8% vol.) 20 x 0.5l beer bottle and draft beer Original wort content: 11.30% The sommelier's rating: The red ale greets you in the glass with orange-red gold and cloudy yeast, shielded by beige, coarse-pored foam. The nose is happy about the scent of wild berries, especially blackcurrants and blackberries. Behind it, nice grain and bread notes emerge. The first sip reveals the two worlds that lie dormant in this red ale. The pleasantly sweet initial taste with malt, caramel and honey aromas is followed by an increasing, first roasted, then resinous, long-lasting bitterness. An exciting and multi-faceted reminiscence of the historical beers of the region, which, like in most places in Germany, were top-fermented brown beers. A good accompaniment to hearty main dishes and grilled food of all kinds. Gourmets will drink it a little warmer at 10-12 degrees in order to better enjoy the diverse flavors.
