Made in Nong Khai (Isan, Thailand), the distillation process is unique. The sugar cane is peeled before being pressed to reduce the sourness. This process also emphasizes herbal and floral aromas. Mango and passion fruit add complexity to the range of aromas. Issan Rum won at its first participation a Silver Medal at the IWSC Hong Kong in November 2014. Sharing the silver ranking of white rums with "Rhum Agricole by Neisson", produced by the world famous and almost century-old family distillery. Issan Rum also won in May 2015 two new awards at the Rum Fest Paris (the Bronze Medal in its category rum Agricole Blanc less than 50%, the Gold Medal of the Special Jury Price).
