Appearing golden yellow with silver highlights, this viscous dessert wine does not give off the sugary or honeyed aromas one might expect. Instead, intriguing aromas of assorted nuts, marzipan, and yellow flowers come off the glass. A taste does introduce some sweetness, but again, short of honey, and more like a marzipan or agave level of sweetness. Almonds and walnut dominate the mid-palate, and the rich, yet delicate dance between the nutty flavors and the not-too-sweetness of this wine makes it a very attractive option for dessert, especially for those who tend to avoid extremely sweet wines.
