Nose: Almost a burnt wholemeal toast aroma, just like your dad makes it. Slight floral flutter in the background, while tangy clementines, red apples and dried autumnal leaves all come to the fore gradually. Palate: A good balance of flavour, vanilla is immediately obvious, but doesn't dominate. Baking spices, ginger and cinnamon rise confidently through bonfire smoke. Tart liquorice threatens to emerge but is eclipsed by fudge and buttery biscuit. Finish: A long finish, with a silky, warm feel and an ashy quality.
